The higher self aspect of us typically gives very high level and often very positive messages about our spiritual direction. Or if there are issues to work on , they tend to be fairly vague. Our guides typically give us more information on specifically what ego issues we are working on plus more practical guidance around being “human”. Combining both of these types of information leads to well-rounded and needed information to move forward in life - spiritual goals, forgiveness lessons, healing, relationships, career, finances, etc...
